These plans represent the first phase in the redevelopment of the wider Gilford Mill site. The following uses are proposed: garden centre, restaurant, residential apartments, servicing, parking, storage and access, and landscaping.
Gravis Planning managed an extensive Pre-Application Community Consultation (PACC) process for this application, which included provisions for remote and online consultation during the Covid-19 pandemic, when social distancing restrictions prohibited the holding of in-person events. We also organised virtual briefing meetings to communicate key information about the proposals elected representatives and the local community. Social media activity was taken forward concurrently to the same effect.
Gravis prepared the planning application and is monitoring its progress through the planning system, providing advice on a range of planning related issues.
