Lurgan housing development approved by ABC Council

This week, we were delighted to receive planning approval from Armagh, Banbridge & Craigavon Borough Council’s Planning Committee on behalf of Gilmore Developments Ltd. for a housing development comprising 66 dwellings, with a mixture of detached and semi-detached units and including associated landscaping, in the Silverwood Road area of Lurgan.
This development incorporates a significant amount of landscaping features to preserve and further enhance the natural setting surrounding it. This includes the retention of existing trees, hedgerows and streams on site, and the creation of a new and extensive network of cycle paths to connect to those which already exist in the Lurgan area. Planted buffers will protect the visual amenity of units bordering the access from Silverwood Road. Given the size and scale of the proposal, a Traffic Impact Assessment was submitted to demonstrate that new accesses would comply with road safety regulations.
The project will deliver high-quality housing to help to meet demand in Lurgan and the wider Borough.
