We are happy to have received planning approval from Belfast City Council for a new retail outlet and café at Boucher Retail Park on behalf of Hotel Chocolat.
Hotel Chocolat is a global brand which sells luxury chocolate and confectionery goods as well as kitchenware, gifts and more. It currently has numerous outlets throughout the UK, which include two already in Northern Ireland – both in Belfast City Centre at Donegal Square North and William Street. The new unit at Boucher Retail Park will add to this provision and the inclusion of an in-house café will complement the existing uses in the area. It represents an investment of £500,000 from Hotel Chocolat and will and create five permanent jobs in addition to a further 15-20 part-time jobs.
This approval is the latest in a long line of retail and hospitality approvals secured throughout Northern Ireland by our Director of Retail Planning, Martin Kelly. In addition to recent approvals for a B&M Retail Ltd. in Derry-Londonderry, a retail extension in Belfast and a new drive thru’ restaurant in Newtownabbey, Martin has a successful track record in securing planning approvals for major retailers such as EZ Living, Smyths Toys, Home Bargains, B&M Retail Ltd, Hobbycraft, Polonez, Boots, Lidl, and more, across retail hotspots such as Shane Retail Park, Balmoral Plaza Retail Park, Boucher Retail Park, Cityside Retail Park, Connswater Retail Park, Longwood Retail Park, Damolly Retail Park, and Riverside Retail Park.
