Planning approval secured for Asda superstore in Stirling

Gravis Planning is pleased to have assisted in securing planning approval for a new Asda superstore close to Springkerse Retail Park in Stirling, Scotland, on behalf of Ramoyle Developments Ltd. and Asda. Keith Hargest, our Director of Planning in Great Britain, provides more information on the proposed development below.

“Gravis Planning's consultants are recognised as retail planning experts and were recommended by the planning agents for the application, Holder Planning, to undertake the Retail Impact Assessment required on behalf of the applicant.”

“Gravis prepared both a full Retail Impact Assessment and Deficiency Assessment in support of the application. These included an extensive household survey of expenditure patters including 1,000 interviews, town centre health checks, Retail Capacity / Quantitative and Qualitative Retail Deficiencies Assessments and responses to objections from competing retailers.”

“In May 2024, Stirling Council resolved to grant planning permission for the proposed development.”
