The new housing development of 94 units comprises of mainly semi-detached houses and apartments with several units being wheelchair accessible which was approved at the Derry and Strabane District Council Planning Committee in June 2022.

The proposal is being brought forward in partnership with Apex Housing and Braidwater/EHA Group to address the significant need for social housing in Derry. The proposal will also provide an investment of circa £11.5 million to the local economy and will create 80 new construction jobs, overall helping in the post-covid economic recovery.

The approved plans include a large open space with outdoor gym equipment, nature trail and pedestrian linkages to the community centre which will bring substantial community benefits for local residents.
